What do you think of when you see this penny? You know that it is still worth the same as the pretty shiny pennies, but it just looks dull and grouse. It is one of those pennies that you hope the check out person doesn't give you because it will make your hand smell funny if you have to hold it for more than 2 seconds. I think of when I was a kid and I would sort through my piggy bank. I would always put my dirty pennies near the bottom and my shiny ones up top (discriminatory-I know). It was always more fun to relish in my 54 cents with the dirty ones hidden down below.I feel how this penny looks! I feel "dull." I know that this season of stress in my life will pass as it always does, and then I will become shiny and new again. But until then, I will have to make due with being the dull penny in the bunch that hopefully won't make my husband's hands smell funny!

I just can't think of you as a dirty penny! You are not dull- or stinky! You are shiny and beautiful!
But I can see your point- and I assure you that this is only a season!
You are carrying a lot of stress and responsibility, and you will come through to the other side.
That is a funny little story...but I have to agree with Annie, you are nither dull or stinky :o)
I hear ya though - lately I've been feelin' a bitl dull as well and I do think it just ebbs and flows with life. You have had so much going on and so many big changes, there's very good reason that you probably feel this way.
Go get a buff and polish (pedicure!) maybe that will bring your bling back :o)
Allison, I am sorry to hear that you are going through a rough patch. It's always hard to see through these things but I think your analogy is pretty darn good!
Remember, this too shall pass. And it will! God is always there!

I found a penny and it might be the first one that's ever been discovered as a rare misprint how do I find out maybe first discovery
