Borrowing from Annie

I am borrowing Annie's idea about making a mixed tape! I just loved that blog she wrote. I was at a meeting yesterday in LA, and as I was saying my hellos to my coworkers one of them saw my iPod sticking out of my airplane bag. He grabbed the iPod and quickly started scrolling through to see what I listen to. I found myself feeling weirdly vulnerable.

It is a personal thing to have an outside stranger look through your playlist for some reason. I guess that the music you listen to really gives people insight to who you are. Anyway, after I recovered my iPod, I realized that I have nothing to be self conscious about. Without further ado-here is what I would put on a CD if I were to make one.

**Annie-I would like a "mixed tape" if you are seriously making them.

Canned Heat - Jamiroquai

How You Like Me Know - The Heavy

Ok, It's Alright with Me - Eric Hutchinson

Always the Love Songs - Eli Young Band

Love your Love the Most - Eric Church

Radio Waves - Eli Young Band

It Ain't Me, Babe - Johnny Cash with June Carter Cash

Uncharted - Sara Bareilles

The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert

Lead Me - Sanctus Real

A Glorious Day - Embrace

Hello! Yes, I'll drop a mixed tape in the mail for you right away! So glad that you liked the idea!
Those all look like great songs- you know, I have a disc in my car right now that you made me for my honeymoon! It's Sharpie title is "I'm Yours" and I love it!

If you do burn some discs, count me in!

Gosh, if a stranger looked through my iPod, I can see how that feels awkward! I'd say, "Yes, so I like Britney Spears! Don't judge me!" hehehe :)

I want in tooo!!! and I'll make a mixed tape myself to send around :o)

This is so fun!!!

I fully agree that the iPod snatch would cause me some anxiety! "What do you mean you don't love Shakira?! Crazy fool!"

I guess I'm officially pretty out of it because I haven't heard of quite a few of those people on your playlist. In my defense though, the human brain can only hold so much so I suppose knowing names of artists just doesn't rank. I know, I know, I'm pretty uncool. Now if you would have had some 80s and early 90s, I would sooo know it! :)

Wow, I didn't know you were such a jet-setter for work. I haven't been to LA in like, oh, 25 years. I know, so uncool again.

I want one too! Especially since I haven't heard of some of these songs!

Ya, having the i pod infiltrated would be a violation! I am pretty eclectic so there is a pretty big variety!

Annie has my address...so....:)))))))
