Old Pictures

I woke up with a renewed sense of needing to frame pictures for the walls in my house that are screaming for some love. After pulling out all of my pictures with the frames that I had, I suddenly felt overwhelmed. My picture project needs an entire weekend, not just 2 hours-which is all I had to give. I put the mess away I had just created only to find some real gems that I had to share.

I found the following pictures that made me laugh. I found some funny fad's I fell victim to and some funny activities that make me question my decision making ability. I hope you enjoy!

(I also found some great pictures of the A's that will come in the near future, but that project also requires more time than I have today!)

I honestly have NO recollection of riding a horse with an egg in my mouth in the middle of a somewhat "packed" arena. None what so ever. But this picture with my hand written description on the back tells me otherwise. I had just finished my sophomore year in high school when this was taken. I have no good reason why I would do this...

The 90's called-they want their "units" ski outfit back. Did anyone else wear "units?"

I was in the third grade when this was taken. Something very cool must be in that box by all of our faces, but what is even cooler are my bangs. Awesome.
Lake Highlands High School Homecoming Mums. Every girl wants one until you figure out that you have to pin them to your vest, your shirt, and your bra-and not even all of those things will hold it up.

Handbell Choir. Yep-I was in the handbell choir. That same year I was also on the jump rope team that went to the state championship for jump ropers. Had I not been apart of either of those things I would have seriously doubted that they existed for kids.

Doesn't this make you want to go and join choir? Not theater-choir.

Let me point out two items that are noteworthy in this picture...the rocking glasses my tennis partner Meghan & I were wearing and the matching slider shorts to bring the whole outfit together.
When I moved to CA I must have tasked myself to find a nice group of friends who also had to be the small. I look like Godzilla in this picture who needs to learn how to pose! I also want to know where I found a pair of orange patent shoes?!?

So this picture was taken during the 7th grade on the night of my most embarrassing moment. Notice the elastic holding up the beautiful puffy sleeves on our choir dresses? Well, as I was walking up on stage with the rest of my 7th Grade Girls Choir, I tripped up the stairs stepping on my dress every step of the way-I managed to pull the top of my dress down 3 times. Not once, not twice, but 3 times. There was so much elastic in those sleeves that it allowed my dress to come down past my training bra. How I wished I could fill a normal bra, but no-I was in a training bra and showed the whole school and their parents that night! HA!
