I should call this show, So I Wish I Could Dance! Summer TV watching has officially begun in our house. Rob knows that when this reality show starts, I am hooked! I endure his Ultimate Fighter shows, so he endures this dance show for me. He gets a kick out of the ambiguously gay/straight dancers, the ridiculous costumes they make them wear, and how emotional EVERY single dancer is. I also think by the end he is amazed at the athleticism it takes to do some of the stuff they do. I don't see him rushing out to sign up E, but never the less-he is impressed.
This is the only time that I watch a reality show from start to finish. Fortunately they don't spend to much time highlighting the awkward, and they spend most of the time highlighting the truly talented.
I can no longer sit next to him as I watch the people strut their stuff because I end up kicking him on accident. You know how you can't help but open your mouth as you feed your baby-well I can't help but "twitch" as they dance. As a person extends their body as they leap through the air, I too strain my neck and point my toes hoping they land perfectly! I try not to, but it just happens.
The judges always pass through a good mix of trained/untrained, natural talent, and all heart dancers. It always amazes me as the weeks go on how much I start to connect with these people. They can't pretend their way through this show. If they fake it-it is apparent from the beginning. And yes-I pick up the phone and vote for my favorite dancer.
I think that everyone deep down secretly has a talent they wished they had-and my secret is out. So...I wish I could dance!

Last night killed me as they traveled to their homes to announce the top 10! OMG...the drama of it all!
Q gets a good chuckle out of "the boys" and I am always commenting somthing like "Good Lord, look at her legs! I want them!"

Did you watch the season with Benjie and then Lacy? By far my two favorite dancers...and then Mia Michaels, her routines are amazing! Oh, and I do love Napolian and Tabatha too - they are awesome coreographers!
I guarantee Sharkeez never saw moves from me like these guys...I wish I could dance TOO!

I'll admit that I've never given this show a fair shot. You've convinced me that I should watch. I do love a good reality show/competition!
