Lamaze was actually pretty fun. It helped me feel a little less nervous about having this baby. I was surrounded by 15 other women in the same boat as me-which was comforting. It taught Rob the right and wrong way to massage a woman in labor, and boy did I love the practice the instructor made all the husbands do! We shall see if I actually use anything that I learned, but never the less-I wanted to experience of going through it.
Yesterdays class was actually a huge learning experience for us. We learned how to properly install a car seat, infant CPR, infant Heimlich maneuver, etc. Rob also changed his first diaper successfully. He also learned how to swaddle, which he is way better at it than I am! The class was full of other couples just like us. Most of the dad's were absolutely darling with their honest questions! All of the mom-to-be's were smiling while looking around the room at all the soon-to-be dad's with their pen's and pad's of paper taking notes frantically. It was really sweet. There was even a dad in the class that ran out and bought a mini-van the instant he learned his wife was pregnant. The poor woman has been driving a mini-van the last 8 months with no kids to tote around, but she seemed to be a good sport about the whole thing.
We also had maternity pictures taken last weekend. I didn't know how I felt about having them done before, but I am now thrilled with them. As I mentioned before, I have been missing my pre-belly body, and after taking these pictures-I am not feeling as desparate. It is amazing what air brushing and editing can do! I only wanted one or two for the baby's memory book, and the photographer gave us plenty to choose from. This same photographer will also do our baby's newborn pictures as well. She did not make me do any cheesy poses I was not into. She got some great shots of the nursery as well!
The Bump.
Here is our Pre-Baby Family Photo. How could I not include our first "babies?"

Allison! You are adorable and so is your nursery!!! I am completely jealous of both! We just moved and I haven't decorated Maysyn's room yet and since her "space" was much smaller in the old house it's kind of like starting all over! Maternity pictures are a must now that I have seen yours! How sweet!
Okay now onto your blog background. All you have to do is go to thecutestblogontheblock.com and pick one you like. It gives instructions which seemed hard to me at first but now it's a breeze! Now Annie, Andrea, and Sadina just got even sassier on another website which I could not figure out to save my life! So maybe they can give us both some tips. But the site I use is really easy after the first time :)
Great post!! I loved hearing about the classes you took...so sweet!! Danny was a much better swaddler than I was too; maybe it's a guy thing. I'm so excited for you as the time nears! The prego pics are positively adorable, especially the one of you standing by the bridge! It looks straight out of a magazine.
About the background thing- I tried to use the website that Annie and Andrea used but I ended up totally messing up my page and spent an hour trying to fix it. Guess that site is only for smarties! :) Try the website Lisa mentioned.
Buddy - the picture of you in the nusery just did me in...I'm totally crying! You are so sweet and happy and such a mommy in that picture - it's awesome!
The photographer you guys used is way talented - no cheesy business at all!
It's so sweet you have graduated from all your classes. Even if you only take away 1 thing, I think it's totally worth your time and it was probably a great bonding experience for you and Robert.
I can't wait to see your new background!!
I am so glad that you took the classess-- Dev and I learned a ton in our classes too.
The nursery looks amazing! I love all of the details! Your pictures are beautiful, and so are you :)
